My wife was all excited about meeting up with her classmates of some 30 years ago. It is again a chance meeting because one of her friends came down to Singapore to visit her mum who is in hospital and they arranged to meet at the hospital canteen itself. 30 years is a long time....sometime I wonder why it take us so long for each of us to catch up. Caught up with our own life to live, I supposed. The good thing is that all have continued to persevere in the faith and are active in their own church.
Today, I met with Joe for lunch. One of his focus now is to rebuild relationship with friends of old that was somehow lost. Somehow I felt the Lord is leading us into a new area of ministry -that of rebuilding old relationship and helping those who has been with us in the past, but ended up at the wayside.
In an earlier post, I have mentioned that Rick also felt the same call in this ministry. It will truly be a beginning of sorts...and I believe that as we continue to seek the Lord's direction, He will put it very clearly in our hearts to begin the work....that of rebuilding lost relationships.
Hebrews 10:24,25
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (NKJV)
