Father's Day

It's Father's Day today. It didn't register in my mind until when I sat in church and the service started with the acknowledgement of fathers in the congregation and a series of dedication items honouring fathers. Hmm....as I thought of my 3 children, I can't help but reflect on what they have become and how extensive my role as a father has impacted them. My wife used to tell me that I have not spent much time to bond with them. Well..it's never too late to start especially when Pastor said in his sermon that God will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the children's hearts to the fathers (Malachi 4:6).
The evening was spent having a Father's day dinner with my extended family (my dad and my 3 siblings' families). It's nice to be able to come together once in a while to celebrate and the family bond has grown stronger each passing year. Thank God for His providence.
